Not only does the new one NOT automatically connect to the TV, but the model search database does not show ANY model TV. If I type in LG, I get the message cannot find TV band database. Nother else works either. This is so disappointing as I only stream and have no need for the TV remote other than On/Off & Volume control.
Into iTunes, turned off sync of the Remote application, confirmed to remove it and synced. Deleted the v2.1 Remote app from iTunes. Double-clicked the v1.3.3 Remote in the Finder. It installs it in iTunes. In iTunes, set to sync the Remote app again, and synced. Usable remote app now back on iPod Touch / iPhone.

Afaik Mi Remote doesn't have any specification that lists all the TV's it works with. I would guess your chances of encountering a Chilean who has both the same model Recco tv and Mi Remote aren't very good.
